Day 1: Thursday, October 15

 

 

BEN GURION AIRPORT, JERUSALEM


Welcome to Israel! We will meet at the airport in the morning, board the bus to Jerusalem (the City of
Gold), settle into the hotel and get ready to begin our AMAZING ADVENTURE.


Walking tour, experience the Old City, spending the day exploring religious and historical sites, the
tunnel tour under the Western Wall and time in the Arab market.


Lunch at Jerusalem’s oldest and best hummus vendor, get ready to taste the real thing.


End the day at Machane Yehuda Market, Israel’s largest and most famous food market, for a tasting
dinner tour.

Day 2: Friday, October 16

 

        

 

YAD VASHEM, TASTE OF THE PAST

 

Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s National Memorial to the Holocaust. The tour will focus on the architecture of the museum, the exquisite gardens, and its many symbolic buildings and memorials.


Hands on Bread Baking experience culminating in lunch from the fruits of our labour.


Visit Ein Karem, a unique beautiful neighbourhood tucked in the Jerusalem hills, known as the paradise
of the slopes and home to many artists.

 
Prepare for Shabbat at the Western Wall, followed by an authentic experience and dinner at a private home.

Day 3: Saturday, October 17

 

FOOD, HIKE AND LIGHTS


Depart for the hills surrounding Jerusalem and meet a goat farmer preparing cheese in a 2,000 year old
cave. Yummm!

Taste Israel’s best tahina and halva and learn about the secrets of how they are made.


Hike a portion of the Israel National Trail, meet a Krav Maga expert and learn the skills of this Israeli self
- defence!


Late lunch at “Majda” hostel, prepared and taught to us by a Jewish-Arab couple using local ingredients.


Tower of David incredible Sound and Light Show in the Old City to cap off this amazing day.

Day 4: Sunday, October 18

 

SPIRITUAL HEIGHTS


Depart for Northern Israel.


Visit Sindyanna of Galilee, a female-led non-profit that promotes “business for peace.”

Taste olive oil and learn basket weaving.


Explore Tzfat known since the 16 th century as a major center of Kabbalah. Walk through the cobblestone
streets to experience the many galleries.


Special dinner in Kiryat Shmona.

Day 5: Monday, October 19

 

GALILEAN TREASURES


Tour Kibbutz Manara located adjacent to the Lebanese border.

 

Hike in the beautiful, lush Banias Nature Reserve.

 

Buckle up for a jeep ride in the Golan Heights with Captain Ilan Shulman, a political analyst.

 

Cooking workshop in Majdl Shams, the largest Druze village in the Golan Heights.

Day 6: Tuesday, October 20

 

      

 

BIRD PARADISE, AKKO AND WINE


Breakfast at the hotel.


Early morning magical visit to the Hula Valley, where over 500 million birds travel on a migration path
each season.


Drive to the ancient port city of Akko, a UNESCO a World Heritage site with a fascinating history founded
in 3000 BC
.


Lunch at the legendary Uri Buri Restaurant.


Meet local artists Eytan Hurwitz and Saleem Amer.


Time to taste some wine at the Amphora Winery one of Israel’s most beautiful vineyards.


Drive to Tel Aviv.

Day 7: Wednesday, October 21

 

     

 

WELCOME TO TEL AVIV


Tour the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation.

 

Continue to Jaffa’s Old City and Port, full of history, artisans and an eclectic Flea Market. A special visit
to a Yemenite artisan and jeweller’s studio.


Lunch at Puaa, famous for Mediterranean cuisine.


“Street Art” Graffiti Tour in the fascinating Florentine neighborhood.


Tasting walk through Shuk Levinsky, brace yourself for the aromatic spices permeating the air.


Dinner at the famed Old Man and the Sea.

Day 8: Thursday, October 22

 

ART, ARCHITECTURE AND SHOPPING


Tel Aviv Art Museum, docent tour and meet with young artists exhibiting in the collection.


Lunch at Tel Aviv's most popular feasting spots, the Hadar HaOchel Restaurant.


Visit Rabin Square, named in memory of Israel’s 5 th Prime Minister, public art, architecture and history.


Bauhaus Tour of Tel Aviv – the White City followed by shopping on Tel Aviv’s famous Dizengoff Street,
get ready to try on edgy and design forward attire.


Dinner at Ouzeria or Romano, you get to choose!

Day 9: Friday, October 23

 

MARKET DAY


Meet Galit Reissman, founder of TLV style and expert on Israel’s fashion design scene. On to Maskit, the
first Israeli fashion house and meet designers in their studios.


Time to explore Nahalat Binyamin craft market (to buy all your gifts) and wander through Tel Aviv’s
vibrant Carmel Market.


Shabbat dinner, Israeli style, hosted on a rooftop.

Day 10: Saturday, October 24

 

     

 

DANCING, BIKING, AND THE BEACH


Gaga dance workshop at the Suzanne Dallal Center.


Relax on the beach or take a bike or scooter on the boardwalk.


Visit Sarona, a 140-year-old former templar colony and now home to the largest indoor culinary market.


Final Dinner – surprise venue!
